Default Say "NO" to FDX CBA Section 29

Fellow FedEx Pilots, RESTORE YOUR VOICES!!! REGAIN YOUR FREEDOM!!! Read the following references, then call your ALPA representative and tell them that you will be voting "NO" to any new collective bargaining agreement that includes manditory union membership and/or payment of maintenance fees to the union. You have rights! The law is on your side if you use it.

References: U.S. Code Title 45, Chapter 8, Sections 151a, 152, and 181; Tennessee State Code Title 50-1-201 thru 205; FedEx CBA Section 29.

No thanks. Please tell me what else I should be voting YES/NO on and I'll be sure to do the opposite.

Those citations at the bottom also remind me of the Texas Law Review style manual. I'm going to guess law clerk.

SECTION 29 does NOT REQUIRE you to be a member of the Union. Feel free to quit at any time. But sadly, you will need to pay maintenance dues to gain the benefits of the contract that your fellow FDX pilots will be paying for over the life of your career as well.

I WOULD SUGGEST YOU VOLUNTEER SOME FREE TIME, PERHAPS TO THE HOPE HOUSE OR PILOT TO PILOT, RATHER THAN GOOGLE SEARCHES OF TN STATE LAW..ITS A MUCH BETTER USE OF FREE TIME AND YOU MAY ACTUALLY LEARN SOMETHING USEFUL.

Didn't your parents ever tell you, there really is no free lunch!
