When I was in the 43rd FS at Elmendorf, we were in what is now the Cope Thunder building. Someone put a picture of two bears mating in our bar. Later--from a TDY...someone added a similar picture of some tortoises. Not to be outdone, someone later added more animal pictures in similar poses..

When we started using our ACMI facility up there for some real time RTO duty, we needed the RTO to have a callsign. So--on a whim--we started using "Two Bears *******ing", shortened of course to "Two Bears". As far as I know, the nomeclature for RTO work out of Elmendorf is still the same.

So--whenever I fly that 727...I laugh a little. I wonder if that little boy or girl knows that Bears is really his/her middle name, and his/her ltrue ast name is "*******king".
The real story is this: Many moons ago, before the paleface inhabited these lands, the Sioux Indians ranged far and wide. Anyway, one day this little Indian brave, maybe 8 or 9 years old, asks his father: "Father, how do little Indian braves get their names." His father replies: Well son, after a child is born, the father leaves the teepee and the newborn child is named after the first thing that the father sees, like: Sitting Bull, Soaring Eagle, Red Cloud, or Kicking Bear." Why do you ask, Two Dogs *******ing.

Now that's the real story.

JJ,

With almost 1,000 posts to your credit you should know better than to resurrect a zombie thread from 5 1/2 months ago!

Of course it's about a month until Halloween so maybe you were doing it on purpose....

Zombie thread!?!?! What do you mean?? My posts, and especially my threads, are timeless and ethereal.

Now that this thread is another Lazarus come back to life, let me ask if anyone has pictures of "Tony," "Redeye," "Pinkeye," etc?

btw, I think jetjok responded to this thread because someone else asked the question about plane names and Tony obligingly (is this a word?) searched the archives for my thread. Thanks, Tony. Can always count on you.

With the addition of new planes, I was wondering whether there are any new and, uh, interesting names plastered onto the sides of perfectly good airplanes? Any with my name on it?

Told you my threads are timeless.

Can I count on you again Tony?

HA HA. I thouhgt the joke went "immediately after 'conception' the father goes outside." and the punchline was "why do you ask broken condom?"

Ha ha.

Some of the names are absolutely hilarious and highly entertaining at 3 am. Some seem to beg the question "Can I buy a vowel," others seem like run-on sentences. To the company's credit, however, there are a few that are actually painted a name that a normal person would name their child. Not a lot, but a few.....

Default FDX Plane Names

Hey All,
I'm looking for pictures of "Justin" "Owen" (not sure there is one) and "Brooke" for my niece and nephews. If anybody could snap a pic and PM I'd owe you a beer or two.
Thanks,
Maddog
