Hold the phone, anyone friends with JP. He needs to issue an immediate fix to the FOM. The company foolishly wrote that bottled water and other sealed drink containers may be removed from the plane after arrival (11.33)
Boy, sure hope they fix that soon. Hope they'll be on my side when the customs guy busts me for taking a bottled water or a soda off the plane in Mexico

Pretty sure the guys in CDG who run the crew over getting to the left over catering are not taking it to the incinerator! I know there are some guys that go over and above and order the limit. That having been said, I think the majority do it the right way. If you are thinking about how hungry you are because the catering out of (insert crappy intl catering of choice here) was just too disgusting to eat...then you are not as SAFE as you could be. The extras can help bridge the gap in the hunger game (pun intended). I guess now he is out of the safety business and in the contract business safety is a non-issue. Yeah, I know some folks will attack because I say the food is a safety issue....to you guys I say look at some of our senior captains! Food is definitely important and a pre-occupying factor if there is not enough of it.

So on a 14 hour flight, we are allowed one juice or soda every 3.5 hours.... Talk about arbitrary..... I guess we could just take a break and walk over to the soda machine like they can.... Oh wait! We're at 36k feet!

I just maxed out all extras on my next trip, and usually just get one extra. I prefer water. I'll be much thirstier and make sure I "destroy" all extras in the future.

I do appreciate how they are doing all of this stuff before Peak. Combined with HKG, PBS and these little gems (catering, backpacks, parkas, etc.) I don't really see how I'm going to be able to answer my phone for the next two months.
