There is nothing I saw in the TA that stuck out as a definite change to the vacation/VTO scenario. But what it said was...

From the ALPA section by section pdf...

Section 7 Vacation
• Current book with cross reference to new Section 25 provisions regarding new options for secondary line holders (7.G.2.) ...

From there you can read section 7G2 in the TA(new contract). There are quite a few things in that section. Some that are not applicable to the vacation/VTO/get paid for all of it scenario. Some that I thought might be. But, I just wanted to make sure. That is why I submitted my question.

Section 25D2 is pretty long with a lot of changes. Lots of red green and blue changes. Same with this section.....lots of changes. Again, that is why I submitted the question.

So it should still work the way it used to, I hope.

And my previous comment about protecting min days off, because I have recurrent in Jan, is applicable if you want to have the whole month off. I usually am off from around Dec 22-Feb 8 when I do the vacation/VTO thing.

Default Carry IN trip during vacation month

Anyone have any experience with bidding all vaca in same month and then having a carry in trip from the previous month?
Can that carry in trip adversely effect bidding a VTO to get the month off? does it effect your pay?

Thanks

Never been in that situation before. But I would guess that if the VTO days didnt touch the C/O, you would be good. And if it did, I would think that those conflicted C/O days would be dropped and the vacation pay would be the same amount of days less than what was conflicted with C/O. But dont quote me on that.

Irish,
the 29th day (6.00 hours) will remain in your vacation bank and will be paid to you at the end of the calendar year.
