FDX web mail print -BAJA
Baja 12-05-2012 02:14 PM FDX web mail - Print??
I have a Mac that uses the Firefox browser. According to a Help file within the new web mail, this browser is supported. I cannot find an icon or other means to print an email message - in this case a DH travel invoice. If I click the browser's Print under the File menu it wants to print the left side of the view which is all recent emails - not the right side (actual message itself). The Help file doesn't address this. It only mentions something about an Outlook Print App which I find difficult to believe would be required for such a fundamental procedure. But I've been fooled before. Anyone know a resolution?
Thnx

The only way to get stuff out of the Outlook Web App is to print it. The app doesn't trust you with the option to save the message. And if you print/save the main screen, that's all you get. You have to Open the individual message to access/format the whole message and then click on the print icon and select a printer.
If you are on a Mac, look in the lower left hand corner of the printer dialog box and click on the PDF dropdown and save the document as a PDF.
On Windows, you will need to make a choice: PDF or the Windows document writer (*.xps). The problem with an xps file is almost nothing but windows will read it (can't open it with dropbox or goodreader). So the logical choice is to go get a small PDF printer program. It will setup a 'printer' that will output to a PDF file. You can get an idea from this webpage about 7 free programs.
I plan on adding one of these programs to MagicWebFX to further the automation of saving webmail messages.

Double click on the message in the left pane. If the message is part of a thread, then the thread will open and you then have to double click on the particular message that you want to print.
A new window will open and then there is a print icon for the printable view at the top. Click that and another window will open, as well as your printer dialog. Works the same for Windows or Mac.

If I understood the OP correctly, they seek the basic ability to print a message, i.e. a Travel Invoice.
I have tried this on IE, Chrome and Safari, at the AOC and remotely, but do not have Firefox handy.
On the right pane that shows the content of the message,
Select the "Actions" drop down menu to the right of the author's name.
Select "View Original Message"
The message will open in a new window.
Select the Printer Icon at the top and you are good to go.
