I agree fully with Mike. It should now be obvious to EVERYONE what the real agenda of the Bush adm. was... Honestly I was shocked when people voted him in 04, but oh well.
It's no secret that the majority of the population is comprised of complete dumbasses! This is true for all populations, in all countries, although there are some small variations between different countries, mostly due to differences in education (the U.S. is not on the high end of the scale). All it takes to win an election is enough money to buy enough ads that will brainwash the average dumb citizen. You don't need to be smart, educated or have a solid program to win. All it takes is the ca$h to buy the ads.

Better education = better citizens = better government.

Speaking of education, anyone who cares about this country should seriously take the time to watch all the videos at thee bottom of this page: https://secure.reopen911.org/freedvd.php

You can download all the videos at the bottom of the page. I don't necessarily agree with everything that is said in the video, but it DOES bring up important questions that IMHO everyone should consider.

Happy downloading!

As long as we have people with this level of education and IQ, its hard to believe our government will improve

Now, in your case, you're trying to use the contraction for "it is." The correct spelling includes an apostrophe, as in it's.

What was that you were saying about education and IQ?

It's spelled its. No apostrophe.

You also omitted several periods and commas.

Proof complete.

I don't see the "several periods and commas" but you are right on with respect to the its' as stated in the rule below:

Rule 7. Never use an apostrophe with possessive pronouns: his, hers, its, theirs, ours, yours, whose. They already show possession so they do not require an apostrophe. The only time an apostrophe is used for it's is when it is a contraction for it is. Examples This book is hers, not yours.

I stand corrected. Thanks.

Thank you for the English lecture. I am fully aware of the proper use of "its" and "it's". Since this is an online forum, there is no requirement for the use of proper english. I sometimes choose to omit the apostrophe in most contractions simply because its faster to type (eg. didnt). If that bothers you, feel free to skip over my posts. If you truly believe that omitting apostrophes in contractions when writing informally on online forums is an indication of a person's education or IQ, then you are just reinforcing my agument above.

Your life must be very boring or your arguments very weak if your last 2 contributions to this thread were correcting spelling mistakes...

Don, only one more question. How can your sister be so striking while you look like you do? My bet is that you're not related at all.

Actually, it's the irony of someone telling us how we are uneducated, and then defending his own use of poor grammar and punctuation. It begs to be pointed out, and Tony is the guy to do so.

No need to reopen 9-11. The commission's report covers all bases except the 20+ pages blacked out that deal with Bin laden and Saudi Arabia. But everyone knows that story.

Anyway what does this have to do with Fred canceling the A380 order?

I don't know, Mike accuses me of being a right wing wacko when he doesn't even know me.

He calls President Bush a liar because he thinks there were no WMDs in Iraq, as reported by CNN (Communist News Network). It is ok for him to call a Republican a liar because he is smarter than any Republican and knows what is best for everybody. That by no means makes him a left wing wacko, just an enlightened, informed, and superior liberal individual. He also conveniently overlooks the majority of the members of Congress who voted to invade Iraq based on the same info the President had.

I, on the other hand, simply point out that a Democrat, President Clinton, lied not only directly to the American people and also while under oath during his impeachment procedings. That obviously makes me a right wing wacko and part of the right wing conspiracy (thanks Hillary) and a moron to boot.

That is how things work evidently in Mike's little world. Good for him.

And yeah, I'm still thrilled that Mr. Smith went with the 777 and canceled the A-380 orders.
