IPAD's a reality

For those that have an iPad, you can follow the link to the support website listed in the iPad announcement FAQ. Click the applications tab at the top of that page. There is a link to download the Jepp app. Once you do that, you can click the activate link and then you can use the app on your iPad.

Go back to the same spot where you linked to the download. There's a button right next to it that says something about activating. That will automatically put the activation code into the app. Fully functional.

I wonder if this will screw up our activation on the company issued iPad in some way? I.e. is this allowed on multiple devices?

I don't know why this would be the case. Normal protocol for apps is that a subscription for one of your devices is good for all of your devices.

I'm guessing that if the activation correlates between your PFC login and your activation code, activating the one on your issued iPad may deactivate the account on your individual device.

For my liking, welcome back Jepps! I find the black-and-white, and overall display much less cluttered than LIDO (just IMHO). I can find information much more easily again, and it seems more intuitive to me, although that is most likely because of my many years working with Jepp products in the past.
The iPad display, contrast, clarity/sharpness and zoom, is much, much better than the EFB. Maybe the EFB's will be deferred often from now on? Making the iPad the primary means of chart navigation?

How will that work if you have a separate appleID?
