I just wanted to add to this, if they change the fare before you leave on the trip (i.e. block out) then this will be your new accepted fare, EVEN IF IT IS LOWER!!! I got burned on this a few months back and it cost me about $900. ALPA knew about this change in the rules and never put anything out to the crew force, big surprise.

Sluggo,

Go into your Travel Report and click "Add Missing Travel Bank Record". The discrepancy reason is FNR-Flight Not Required. Fill out the information required, the fare amount is the cost of the partial refund. By doing that, $250 will be added to your travel bank.

Were you already assigned the trip, prior to the fare change? Your bank for the trip(the sum of ALL D/Hs on trip) can't be lowered after the trip is assigned to you.

This is not correct. You get the higher of when assigned or final revision.
