This one is a day in Mem and 2 in Miami with 2 travel days. It is not a bad deal, just makes bidding tough.

I would like to say thank you to everyone for all the great gouge. I think I will stay put and let this "good deal" pass me by!
Too many variables!

Does anybody have an idea about the destinations?

Do you think it will be going to Asia?

If by Asia you mean San Jose and Indianapolis then yes.

Not sure which MDs go to Asia. The 10s or the 11s or both?

Not sure if it would be an option with a max payload of 116,000 lbs.

Why not MEM-ATL so that the managements folks can fly them (and think they know what we do for a living)?

I've flown MD-10's LAX-HNL, OAK-HNL, MEM-VCP, MEM-STN (Maintenance REALLY didn't like having an MD-10 in STN, "We can fix anything! Not even starters, tires, brakes ... ")

They're probably going to try running them Newark-Paris, then putting the crew on a 757 to hop around Europe.

Nice concept, but I'm not sure if it works out logistically. That was the dream for the MD10 too - putting them in Subic and flying them with MD11 crews from Memphis. Then somebody looked at the maintenance issues....
