You know, if the the Company is so sure this PBS thing is going to be so great for us, why don't they just go out and buy it, build it, create it, or whatever they have to do. Get it all up and running the way they want, then show us what a great thing it is. Show me that my schedule will be as good as it is now. Show me the junior bubbas aren't getting screwed any worst than they are now. Show me that it's a good deal for the whole pilot group. And then I'll at least listen to what you have to say. But until then, you're asking me to sign a blank check and to trust you, even though you have don't nothing to deserve my trust.
I don't think so...

You mean like letting a system like the accepted fare policy work as it should until a few months after a new CBA comes into affect then changing it suddenly into something less friendly?
Or like signing a contract with Airbus to buy A380's, preparing for their arrival, negotiating with us for the pay rate then canceling the whole thing after the CBA is with us and hosing us on 777 pay rates?
Do you see a trend here? I hope so.
My listening occurred over a longer time period than the last 6 months and is now over.
How many times do you have to be burned to make you stop touching a hot stove?

By definition the system would not be more flexible, if everyone's schedule is optimized at the beginning of the month.
Wouldn't the companies "sample lines" under the PIBS system just be like sample lines in the new 777 or FDA bid packs...??
We all know those turned out just like the ones they published when they were "selling" those new programs.

I thought about this too, but even if they showed us the lines it could build how would requests for trip or reserve drops and trades go if the crew force were " more efficient"?

Translation: NO Bid Line Adjustments will be allowed. Nada. Zip. Zero. Fly your assigned regular or reserve line, or call in sick.
And you thought dropping or trading R-days was tough now!
But hey...it's more efficient for one side of the equation.

Let's say you're senior to all the LCA's and expect to get a few trips you like. You might even bid in the top 5 of your seat. But training scheduling pulls those trips for IOE out of the open time bucket before PIBS builds your line.
How do you like those apples?
