Dear Contract Administration...

PIBS propaganda #4 is out. Really like the closing statement:
We simply don't believe that any of these perceived hurdles are high enough to prevent an open dialogue and productive negotiations on the subject.
Nothing like talking about "open dialogue" in a one-way PFC post. How about letting the MEC answer some of your concerns using the PFC site; otherwise, keep your negotiating crap off the site I need to check regularly to do my job.

Even if every pie in the sky positive about PIBS were true (which they most assuredly are not), the furlough/stagnation that would ensue for the next decade have not been addressed. That will probably be in #5 or #6.

Normal progression!
Since all you junior guys have gotten used to a 5-year delay in upward movement recently, here comes another one!
Just vote for PIBS and you can stay exactly where you are for another five years! As the senior guys retire we are able to become more efficient with the bidding software, so there will be no need for seat bids or upgrades! Also we will require a lot fewer pilots, but we will hide that fact through...look squirrel!

Here's a tidbit from the UAL thread on the subject:
"In DEC, a LOT of pilots got ROYALLY SCREWED thanks to this POS we call PBS. I bid for ONLY lines.........but ended up on reserve, while 5 guys JUNIOR to me got lines (some as high as 89 hours of nothing but mid-body trans-cons and three more days off than me). I had a week of vacation and three days blocked for my PC........and three of the guys junior had vacations too (two had the XMAS week off), yet PBS couldn't "build me a line". The most junior lineholder didn't even bid for a line and didn't WANT a line, but was awarded one. So tell me, what kind of garbage is that? These guys are given a life, make more money, and can trade for trips they want, while more senior guys are getting SCREWED by being put on reserve. ANY TA/JCBA will be voted down by me with PBS in it."
Questions?
