I’d sure like verification of that rumor – truth or fiction?
Regardless, I still expect the AK authorities to question him about quite a few things, including false statements he made under oath in an arbitration hearing. An investigation wouldn’t be complete unless it peels back more layers of that onion to see who was really behind the HK housing allowance debacle.
On a related note, people still aren’t getting the answers they need regarding housing allowance eligibility, despite what JB put out in his communication. Why should management start being honest and forthright now?
What management really wants is retain total control of that situation, as they endeavor to do over everything. If ALPA gets in their way, they’ll do an end-around, appealing directly to the crewforce as the independent contractors they believe us to be.
Fear, intimidation, uncertainly, confusion, division, and lies are their tools. Honesty, resolve, and unity are our tools. If the membership and our leadership stick to their guns during these times, it’s possible to have a reasonable, negotiated CBA, and a better company that rises above its embarrassing history of pathological antipathy towards the only collective bargaining unit on its property.
I learned a long time ago that nothing good comes from backing down to bullies. So, now is the time for the membership to show its resolve. Meanwhile, I would like to know the truth about this particular rumor.

true, however when a person gets fired/quits, that person is quickly removed from the system. Almost like they never existed. Company org charts aren't updated as often. JMHO
