fxcal perdiem calculator
Hi I am wondering if anyone has used the Fxcal per diem calculator for their taxes yet? Is it a good solution or are you better off paying the ez-perdiem guys. I was mainly concerned if you needed a print out or not and what other peoples opinion of that function has been. Thanks

It's current form is not a complete tax solution. (yet)
Just an handy way of grabbing some info from VIPS and doing some addition that VIPS does not do.
Easy way of getting some info to your accountant.
Get back to me with the any missing pieces that your accountant needs to mine from VIPS.
I think you would be able to use those numbers, as they are published by the company, but I believe a tax professional could wring out a larger deduction.
More to come.

The government allowed write-off is on the PFC website. Look at the Per Diem Recap on Crew Information. Simply type in the month you want and use the Xcludbl Alownce column. You have to add the numbers but its all there. The approved rates change a few times a year and this changes with the rate change.
