Default Resin Aircraft Models

I've got a upcoming trip to Shanghai. Last time I was at the 580 there was a stall where they were selling the resin model aircraft. Anyone have any experience with the models sold at the 580? Are they any good and if so, what's a good price to pay. If they are no good, alternative suggestions appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Not sure about the 580, but fairly decent resin models are available at several stalls in the Guangzhou One Link Market for about $40.

welcome, just reread and realized it came out twice as sarcastic as I meant it

Science and Tech had a pretty good toy selection last time I was there. If memory serves we have a triple captain with a phillipines hook up for the hand painted mahogony as well. I would probably go that route if you someone knows who that is.

Thanks...don't know who that would be. I think a resin one will be fine with me. Just didn't want to pick something up that was going to fall apart like most items bought in Shanghai.

We have several triple captains with filipino "hook ups".

Picked up a resin MD11 at the 580 a couple years ago. Came out to about $40US. Seemed to remember it was in the same floor as the snack bar. There were a couple places selling them. MD11s were hard to come by, triple 7s were a bit easier to find. Pretty solid and not gonna fall apart.

You might send a tweet to US Airways. They seem to be sending back info about getting 777 models.
