Maybe that's because they are currently flying the 777 and haven't been excessed yet from the previous excess. Soooo they don't need to go to training.

So how do guys JR guys train before more SR guys? If you are coming off a widebody to the 767, do you get placed ahead of someone coming from the 757? Will this trigger Passover pay for me?

"Passover Pay Due To Junior Pilot’s Early Activation
In case of a junior pilot’s activation to a higher paying position out of seniority order, every senior pilot who meets the following prerequisites shall be paid as if he had activated in that higher paying position (passover pay):
the junior pilot and the senior pilot(s) hold an award for the same crew position; and
the junior pilot’s award is from the same posting as the senior pilot’s award or from a subsequent posting; and
the Company chooses to activate the junior pilot prior to the senior pilot(s) and the junior pilot’s activation delays the training and activation of the senior pilot(s)".

Only if they bid (and are awarded) the same seat and domicile as you on the same or subsequent posting, AND, the big kicker, if they delay your training so the junior pilot can train earlier. If they don't need training they can't possibly delay your training.

So I'd say no. Check out 24.D.2

Once the Jr pilot finishes 75 training he needs 767 differences training the same as the current 75 pilot. So I would say yes.

The intial cadre of the 76 the 757 pilots were paid passover the day the 1st non 75 guy jr to them checked out. None of us had had differences training at the time.

Ask the 75/76 fleet commandant she will either tell you or by a non response let you know something fishy is up.

Those not coming from the 75 have more training to go through. They will start earlier than 75 guys. Passover pay starts when the junior person is activated. So even though they may start earlier, doesn't mean they will finish earlier. I have several junior non 757 guys starting before me but their listed completion date is very close to my completion date.

We were all supposed to be activated 1 Sep but instead we received Passover sometime in the middle of August.
