One way is to flood them with Pilot Ops Reports and be specific as to the lousy "improvements" are.

For example, if you are trying to figure out what line to bid next month, can you check ticket prices ahead of time when you don't have the trip, to see if you can stay within bank? I'm not sure how you do that. Or if you're considering picking up a trip in open time, or swapping with someone else, can you check? It doesn't look like it, and now the site just gives me an error message when I try to get on it. Great.

Another thing, I checked on a flight, and there were probably ten options for this route on the Delta website. The FedEx system gave me one option for Delta, that's it. What an improvement.
Those are excellent points. When accepted fares so low, I usually check flight prices to see if I can come anywhere close to staying near the bank.

Currently operating bidline awarded trip which had front end deadhead w/published fare of $6360. Now 4 days into said trip published fare listed at bottom of pairing now listed at $3450. This is going to be fun since both Crew members have hard copy of orig. published fare......

This shouldn't be a debate

Please let us and CE know if the usable bank ends up any different than the full $6360

Thx

The question is what is the approved fare on your travel report say.

I have never had an issue with changing published fare. In remarks section I just state that I request original published fare. Please let us know and always keep a copy

Tried to use the new system for real today... What a P.O.S.

Ran it along side Trip Manager and it didn't return a tenth of the results. In a number of cases it wouldn't return any results when many were available on Trip Manager. And to think, I used to complain that Trip Manager didn't return options unless you had it really zeroed in.

P.O.R number three in. I hope they don't turn off Trip Manager yet.

I don't know what their parameters or filters are on this thing but it seems to try to steer you towards some flights and away from others. It would not allow me to see the first class ticket to LAX even though it was wide open.

But just think of all the goodwill MGT will gain when they serve up some more yummy cheeseburgers at the AOC?

I didn't realize trip manager was still operating. That's good to know.

I tried to book a coach class flight, only putting in the coach option, and the system decided not to allow it. All flight prices that were shown were only in first class, though coach was available and selected. Gee, I wonder if they would have booked it, though it was less than five hours, or just automatically rejected the request.

Sometimes the airlines give us better rates for first than coach. Right now UAL is giving dirt cheap first class tickets out of DEN. If it's cheaper for first than coach, then you can book it even if it doesn't qualify.
