Default FDX - New Deviating and Deadheading System

If you haven't used the new system for looking at airline travel options (vs. Trip Manager)... Bring your calculator. It only uses Zulu Time which makes it difficult when planning different contingencies or combining itineraries. Just one of the reasons this "new and improved" way of booking deviation travel is a step backward from Trip Manager. (Which pretty much sucked as far as trip booking sites go.)

From what I can tell is you also have to 'Deviate" to even look at your options. I tried using another leg that I've deviated on but not booked tickets to look at options for another trip and it came up with nothing. Even though there are multiple options and I used continue button after it warned me destination was not scheduled destination.

What's another few hours of my life trying to work out deviation travels...

Anyone else give it a try yet? What else could there be?

I am trying to figure out how to buy a ticket to Mem for training. I thought maybe Rday ticket but no luck. Maybe it will be best for everyone to call corporate travel and tie up the lines.

You mean the one line that you sit on hold for a minimum of 20 minutes before anyone answers! Yes - I timed it the other day, after the 20 minutes I gave up and called back around 10pm and only waited 15 minutes. This was just to cancel an unneeded deviation ticket.

What a great excuse for everyone not deviate. It wouldn't even appear to be a job action. "Sorry, I couldn't figure out the webpage and couldn't get anyone to answer the phone at corp travel. So I just j/s ed in for the scheduled dh."

Single Malt, pandora (Steppenwolf channel), and speakerphone work well.

They're going to have to change the rule of once you deviate, you can't undeviate. If I book the flight 3 weeks out to get the best rate and have to deviate at that time, what happens if my schedule changes and I'm now in memphis and can fly the scheduled dh?

This was one of the company's openers for negotiation. (having to deviate when you book a ticket). They figured out how to do it without negotiating. According to the NC latest update, traveling expenses and deadheading sections are complete. I hope this new webpage was talked about. (Yes I will ask my rep).

Default Flying your schedule isn't a job action...

Sent two POR's so far. This is turning out to be a royal pain already.

I'm curious who these beta testers that were referenced are... "POR responses from pilots during last month’s continued beta testing and expansion of the system to 777 First Officers. Your feedback helped us refine the final version."

Their POR's must have been used to remove the stuff they said they liked...

I don't know why you're complaining, all the O&B flyers participated.

Why did they hire the Healthcare.gov people to do this to us? This was after the Beta too.

Their next hit will be a truly awesome PiBS product......

Was this thing designed by a middle school computer club? It makes Tripmanager seem cutting edge.
If this useless flight booking tool has any value at all, it is just one more confirmation that ANY PiBS program the company could design would be HEINOUS.
