3 month, or even 1 month, slides are an admission that the long training letters are, at their core, not right.

We should have a provision in our CBA that if your training is slid by a certain number of days you can cancel your award without penalty and try again on another bid. That would check their attempt to exert unlimited power over our schedule.

Buddy of mine at Air Tran (717) is getting ready to bid for his SWA 737 training slot; seniority based bidding for training dates.

My 77 Date was moved 2 months, there are NO Fo's in 77 training in NOV or DEC.....They are short and doing "Whatever it takes" to make it through peak. They have no intention of settling a contract before peak. They just need butts in the seats to make it through then more delays.

... just a reminder that today is 10 days since Bid 14-04 closed and we are due a training letter.

I have been looking for it since it directly affects me.

I would hope the CBA would be honored.....

I spoke the the folks working on the training letter. They are crunching away on it, and were waiting for the numbers from training on how many slots were available. That was Tuesday - 3 days ago. I was led to believe that it would be out soon.

I did receive a notification with a training date - so something is working behind the scenes. The letter generating folks mentioned the HK bid and know that things will be changing again. Looks like patients are necessary here.

Looks like the letters are out - like 2 minutes after I posted this.

I got notification yesterday that my training date got moved forward a month earlier. So the letter is probably done. Just a question of whether we'll be allowed to see it.

Prior to this last excess bid closing, the training letter for my new aircraft showed dates out into the fall of 2015 (not counting the flexes, etc at the end). I thought any training for folks awarded it on this most current bid would be scheduled after those already on the letter. My first notification said this summer which was a pretty big surprise. Hard to believe there was that kind of wiggle room.

I would think they put the newest people awarded in line behind those who got it on an earlier bid. Is that how it works, or do they re-flow the entire thing when they have another bid?
