Look for the ball notes, if you can't find the crossing restrictions. They are all there (ie, Tammy ay 10,000...)
I dunno, anyone coming in on time off to help train the pilot group SHOULD be compensated. I just hope the company footed the bill, not the union. But either way.....

All Maddogs are getting EFB with C checks, and the whole fleet should be complete in the next 18 months. The guys who have flown with it say it's totaly awesome!...
Yep it's not jepps, it has somethings that are better, some worse. It's not perfect, and neither were the jepps.

Right now it's just mildly humorous entertainment listening to guys whine about it, because it shows they don't have a clue what they're talking about. IMO

Y'know guys, the corporate operations out there have been using EFB's for at least 5-6 years. Even with the IQ of my shoe size, it took me about 5 mins to figure it out, and about 5 more to be comfortable with it. Frankly, I can't wait. You'll love it.

The complaints are about paper LIDO

The complaint is with "PAPER" LIDO! We are using a product that is intened to be used with the EFB...Great! As I said before there was some very GOOD initial training on the EFB in this years recurent ground school...did not take long at all to figure it out...if anything it made using the "paper" version depressing after the insturctors informed the class that the AIRBUS will not get the EFB for almost 3 years??? Why again is that??? Because we are low on cash around here??? Any MadDog pilot that doesn't READ the thread...should be put back on the Boeing...and never be alowed to use the EFB!

When did you start using LIDO? I imagine it was about 1995 because at OOPS we started using it in 2005 and we are historically about 10 years behind Federal.
Dont know if LIDO was intended for the EFB or not but what did you guys notice when you started using LIDO? Besides the obvious......flight plans all effed up, unrealistic routings, confused clearances especially international, much more paperwork than was formerly issued, gobs of irrellevant information, no canned flight plans even on the NoPac and NoAtl tracks, speeds of .74 mach over the the tracks at FL390 and when because of your routing and speed you would be actually cleared at FL280 and burn a whole but! load more fuel?
Inuiring minds want to know....

You might want to sit down for this one.
We used to use the Lufthansa (LIDO) system as the primary (remember when you'd see columns at the end with different fuel-burn scenarios?), but we've changed over to Jeppesen.

As usual, Tony C. is right. I really wish we had the Lufthansa product back because I look at and use the different fuel burn scenarios. Those extra columns were a nice addition and come in handy.
Just one more thing to make one say "Hmmmm........"
