Second Mock bid shows all new hires still on their A300. We will see what more senior crews do for real bid.
Crazy seat planning for sure.

That is beside the point. The point being the company already has their seats deemed to be excessed only a few months after filling them. Come to UPS and expect your lives to be turned upside down on a quarterly basis.

Also....You hang your hat on mock bids? Seriously?

Most likely not. I would think even mgt teams that have used bankruptcy laws would view themselves as a step up from UPS. However for a few UPS could be a good fall back job if the big three never called. Though one would be furlough fodder for years to come.

The UPS flying "job" has indeed gone full circle.

Does that mean we'll go back to:

United
Pilot
Service

Except no one is leaving UPS for other carriers now, are they?

I don't think so. However that is a different issue then whether one prefers to start at UPS tomorrow or one of the big 3 passenger airlines.

Some pysch studies show that one puts extra perceived worth to object or condition if one already has it in their possession. A pilot already at UPS who has a perceived sunk cost is much less likely to change then someone with no sunk costs or emotional attachment to previous decisions.

Yes they have. Quite a few in the last few years, actually.
