I-Pad holder

Whatever rationale you need to willfully violate regulations is up to you. You will be the one held accountable to justify your actions. The EFB works fine at night if it's the Nav Aero. If you are referring to the Panasonic Tough Book I understand the dimming issue. The strap on mount is allowed by the FAA as a secure mount in all phases of flight. An iPad clamped in the EFB while in various cases is Not.

Which is why we still need a PAPER copy of the FP/R to drape over the too bright Panasonic Tough Book during night operations.

So is this on the 57? 11?
On the 777 the efb is not removable and dims as low as the cockpit lighting system. Our efb is primary for most pilots, and the ipad does not make an appearance in the cockpit unless there is an efb mel.

It is the new toughpad. Installed first on all of the 76s and "new" 75s and working its way through the inventory. It is much nicer than the original EFBs but it is bright at night.
