Fdx carryover reserve min days off

I have July carryover r days and bid a line for August and choose to keep the carryover r days. If I protect min days off then I can drop trips in August. Is there any chance they can choose to drop my carryover r days to protect min days off if I don't want them to? When I choose the trip to drop can they select another trip of the same length against what I asked for?

First, you "choose" to keep your R-days after the bid closes during the Conflict Input Window this coming weekend. Bidding a line that doesn't conflict with your carryover R-days is not the same as choosing to retain those days. So, if you want them, make sure you elect to keep them this weekend. If you do nothing, they will be dropped on Monday. You also need to input your request for the trip(s) you want dropped during this same window.

I'm not 100% sure about this, but I think the act of retaining those carryover days during the conflict window protects them from min-day action.

If I’m wrong, then they would be fair game in order to fix your days off issue. Maybe someone else knows for sure.

Yes. If no trips are in direct conflict with your carryover R-days, then you can "request" the adjustments you want made, but it's only a request. If the trips have the same footprint (and same pay), it seems reasonable that they would honor your request. Obviously they're not going to drop a 4-day trip you request if a 3-day will correct the min-day situation.
