[QUOTE=G3Driver;108182]2 things...
1. So what does this really mean when you complete the application?...
"Thank You
We have received and reviewed your background application information. Unfortunately, we currently have many qualified applicants and will not be able to schedule you for additional testing at this time. Thank you for your interest in UPS."
Meet all Mins, Typed in B-727, DC-9 and BA4100 and got the same response. Central/South but No Europe/Pacific experience and the fact I am on the Panel in " pilot purgatory" again must have done me in. Oh well at least I still have a nice desk to sleep on at work.

Ok, this is what I found out today!!!!!
I had 3 friends fill out the application today:
One got the "Congratulations, you need to schedule for further testing" or something like that message.
The second one (who has pretty much the EXACT same experience as the first guy except that the first guy is a sim instructor and has been an FE before) got the "Thanks, we have a lot of qualified applicants blah blah blah" message.
The third one was not even able to fill the whole thing out after answering the questions about international (wherever that is. I don't know since I haven't seen it).
I also spoke with an HR person today and he was very adamant about UPS wanting heavy jet/international experience. He said something about not wanting an RJ pilot or fighter pilot (Raging white, I was joking before but he really said this when I talked to him) flying the MD11 in Asia with a brand new captain. Take it with a grain of salt though since every HR person always says something different. I had a buddy interview 2 weeks ago who has no heavy jet/international experience.
He also said that their requirements change (especially if the over 60 FEs start to leave) and they are working on the website to make it so you are able to update.
That's all I got today.

Hey guys,
Ditto on what you all are saying for me. Finished the 2007 app and was immediately locked out with a "thank you for playing" message. I thought it was because I was unsuccessful last year in a UPS interview, and was just getting the immediate cold shoulder for a second chance.
FWIW, I have int'l experience in all regions requested, 6500 TT, and 4500 PIC, mostly in military and civilian heavy jets. It would be surprising to me that there were more qualified applicants that would render this supposed "Congratulations, you move to the second round" response that I am reading on this thread. And I've already been called once, so I think I fit what they were looking for. Perhaps it's some form of quota system?
Anyway, glad to hear I'm not alone in this confusing system they have at UPS. If I am meant to ever get on there, I'm sure it will work itself out somehow! Best wishes to all hopefuls...
