Well everyone probably knows that Amazon was the first company to be authorized to fly commercial drones, but what you don't know is that they are flying two B-767's and within the next two years are planning to be the world's' largest overnight parcel delivery service. Yes that includes FedEx and UPS. I know this to be a FACT not a rumor. I work for them .

Not a bad start for a first post on APC

Maybe so. FedEx has a good management team in place.(Pilot contract, USPS deal, TNT deal, expanding markets....). UPS's management style leaves me speechless at times. They succeed in spite of themselves. I really don't know how much longer the madness can go on within this place. The impending fiasco with airframes along leaves many concerned here!

I seem to remember a couple of companies that had the same mindset as Amazon. Good companies that felt they could do anything, as long as it was managed correctly. Everything went fine for a while then the house of cards came tumbling down. They never recovered.

YMMV

Why would they build a network when they could just buy one?

Bezos is an egomaniac who likely thinks he is some sort of demigod. It's amusing watching masterminds like him fail.

Rumor has it they are currently using two different carriers for ACMI work. Amazon is keeping this very quite at this point. Should be interesting to see where it goes.

ATSG even has a code name for it, operation "Aerosmith"

Known cities are Allentown, Pa and Ontario, Ca with some things being sorted in ILN.

Very hush-hush, very interesting. What is uncle Hete up to now?

The other one is being operated by Northern Air Cargo from San Bernadino to Seattle (Operation Alpha). I believe there is another one out of Idaho.
