[quote=C17turtle;129677]I got speak with HR today to clarify a few '07 application questions. Basically, if you have an "on file" application in the system you are pretty much done until you are invited to proceed in the the hiring process. That means no updates or resume submissions until you are invited to do so. I take that to mean if your file has gone active, good news is on your way or has already arrived...
I like your take, since mine went active recently, just wondering what you're basing it on. Thanks for any insight.

I have the same inclination about this. I have a friend who was worried to see his App go to "on file" after being active since he put it in... I think that is a good thing... It would seem while they are poking around in it looking at times and using the filters on it, it goes to "on file" and you are not allowed to change anything. When mine went back to active, I got a call within a week or so. Same holds true for my friend. (although a bit longer until his call, but he's neurotic ;-)
Congrats to Dawg and good luck to all on the interview...

I'm a little confused about the '07 App. I applied on 12/28/06 and can pull up my stuff at any time through my SSN and my job inquiries. It also says ACTIVE under the status bar.
Since I applied at the end of '06 and all my info seemed to transfer over to '07, is there anything else that needs to be done.

If you are updating an application, it is NOT a 2007 app. and you are wasting your time. I personally walked into HR about 2 wks ago and was told that current 2007 apps CANNOT be updated. You are updating your 2006 app and I was told those will do you no good. You must reapply in 2007 to have a shot at it. Who knows tho, maybe the person in HR I talked to doesn't fully understand this new system. Wouldn't surprise me.

I never submitted a 2006 app. I put my app in Jan 11, it went to 'on file' and then just went 'active' a few days ago. I am now able to access my app and have put a resume in. Are you saying this is a 2006 app?? I'm confused.

If in your app you were asked if you have flown in foriegn places and you checked those boxes, then you did the 07 app. The 06 app did not ask about your international experience.

Also, for those who are hoping for a second interview, there appears to be no rule on when that could be, if ever. They said you can reapply at the beginning of the next calendar year, but if, for example, you interviewed in Nov/Dec of one year, you wouldn't be getting a call the next January! I asked if they used 6 months as a rule of thumb, but didn't get a straight answer. I think exp96 on this forum interviewed in Oct and is already invited back for the assessment--so I'm guessing it's a possibility!

So...
Of those who were "on file"
Has anyone NOT seen their application go from "on file" to "active"... in other words, are there any "on file" people out there, who have never been "active?"
