Agreed, I've seen Sudsy's tactics before at my previous lack lustrous Delta Connection employer. Classic Red and Blue moves. We'll be here to see him off to his THIRD RETIREMENT or whatever he says he's on. It's a complete conflict of interest he is even here having come from the Atlas umbrella...

And yes, nobody wants to come here for 17 days straight maybe more if your schedule falls just right. And then he showed up! Proving to us all to screw up a great deal that could make every one a ton of cash. I look forward to watching him paint himself into a corner when its time to pay the piper. Sweet redemption!

What happened to the Soap Scum threat of furloughs in the next quarter?

Now they're hiring and desperate to find candidates? Could it be the bastard outsmarted himself?

I believe so. I'm sure someone informed him that if the 30 he was going to furlough 25 have already left. That being FO's and not counting Captains that have already retired.

Personally I think there will be classes in the 1st quarter to balance out the summer and fall training events. Just my two cents.

I interviewed in August, flew the DC-8 Sim, and offered placement in the hiring pool in mid August. I flew the 757/767 at a previous 121 carrier that has now ceased opertions.
What I would like to know if anyone was interviewed after August 2017 has been offered a class date in December or January? I have been doing the usual checking in the first of the month with HR, and told there is not a class date yet for me.
Also, informed that they have re-opened the application window and told once again there are no class dates, and they are only being proactive with the hiring pool.
Looking for some straight answers if possible?

I can confirm there were no newhire classes since early this year. I’m sorry they kept you at the edge of your seat. I’m not gonna play the game of “go somewhere else” but I don’t see this place going anywhere untill we get a contract. There’re wild rumors floating around. But at this point nobody knows crap for sure. Amazon keeps their cards close to their chests, and don’t forget they’re also great poker players.
I wish I could tell you more, but seems like being at the bottom of the seniority list right now could put you in a very uncomfortable position.

Thanks, I really appreciate the information, and it is very helpful with making an informed decision on whether to move on to other opportunities.

No problem! Now, if you’re willing to move to the CVG area, QOL on reserve could be nice. If your goal it’s to stay at home, you can always find another reserve that commutes and is desperate to fly to take over your trip. You could get stuck with airport reserve but it’s not than bad if you can come home every day/night. You could also bid 17 days in a row, or a line broken in 2 or 3 blocks.

If we start growing again, reserves are going to be used a lot but at least you’ll be junior enough to catch those “emergency assignments”. Those pay really well and after the 6th one in a calendar year, they have to pay AND give you the day back. Just don’t budget on those calls at the moment.

As far as other opportunities, I would stay away from ACMIs right now. Kalitta might be the exception, but stay clear of the rest, at least for now.

Good luck and feel free to PM me.
