What did you expect? To have the company buy you a hotel room when you're in base?

How much flying is international vs domestic? What are the hotels generally like? Feel free to PM me as well. Thanks.
I'd also be interested in this info. Don't go getting all private on me now

Insurance is adequate I don't really notice paying a lot out of pocket.
5 years is my WAG. 17 on 14 tends to be junior reserve you'll be able to hold week on week off fairly quickly. Maybe 1/3 of the flying is international. Hotels are OK with the international hotels being the nicest. (Except Monterey)

If your paying attention to the pilot market lately, you'll see that many regional carriers are purchasing up to 4 hotels a month for commuters to try and attract applicants.

His question was not out of the realm of reasonable if ABX was feeling the pinch to attract people as well. Which, they probably are not. I didn't see it as a reason to be sarcastic with the guy.

You guys get much trans-pacific stuff to Asia? Or is it mostly North and South America?

I thought the schedule was 17 days on a month. Period. A week on, week off schedule would only be 15 days a month. Is there a week on/week off option?

Sorry about the sarcasm but 24 years of night flying does it to you. Concerning hotel rooms provided by regionals.....based on what they pay them, they can afford to buy them houses.

Sorry it's more like 8 or 9 days on and 6 to 8 days off. Bottom line is you get 14 days off a month. Used to be 15...

What cities does ABX serve in the U.S.? Is it easy enough to jumpseat on Southern, Kalitta and ATI when they (DHL) shuffle the cities around every few months?
