Show up early so you don't run late??? You have to be kidding me. We should quit bailing out the CO. If the transportation needs to be fixed a few late flights will see to it. If we need to show up earlier then the CO can pay me.

How about the guys who told the FAA we don't wear O2 masks...and then we did it again....Would love to have read that safety report....

The Puppet told me not to wear it......listen to the puppet..

Pilots here go above and beyond every day, but at best it gets you a pretty little pin. I returned my last BZ to my acp and told him to send it back when there was a check attached to it like the old days. SHOW ME THE MONEY!
I really hate to take the side of the company, but your comment above just rubs me the wrong way. What exactly would you like? Please spell it out, because I just don't understand your comment of "I know of the argument that if we complain about transport times then we will be staying at the airport, but when enough guys grow balls and go fatigued because of inadequate rest the problem will be addressed again." In my post, I specifically used (as an example) Seoul. The van ride is usually in the hour to an hour and 15 minutes. The ride back to the airport is usually done after a fairly long layover, like 24 or 36 hours. Are you suggesting that if the captain wants a 15 minute early pickup, to take into account traffic, or any other contingency, that: 1) the captain is stupid; or 2) that guys should call in fatigued? My point was that, for whatever reason, the captain had the right to ask the crew to meet early. Nothing more or nothing less.

As for you turning in your BZ, that must explain why about 10 years ago I received, via an overnight envelope, a BZ, with a check for $100. I read the BZ and it was for a flight a number of months earlier, a flight that I just didn't remember. I looked up my calendar and found that I hadn't even been a member of that flight crew at all. That, of course, didn't stop me from taking my wife out for a nice dinner. so thanks, Bitme.

Not sure the last time you were in Seoul, since the 72 doesn't fly there, but it is a 50 min ride and it doesn't matter which one of the three bridges they take. Has been that way for the last 6 years, even with a protest in front of the government buildings.

The last time I flew into Seoul was just about a year ago, and probably 30 times in the previous 2 years prior. Regardless of whether it takes 50 minutes or an hour and a half, the captain has the right to have everyone show up early. For whatever reason. Period. Sorry if you don't agree, I didn't make the rule, I was just pointing it out.
