If DHL and especially Amazon want a low cost airline, why didn't they start one? What they want is a quality product, a reliable product. And these things have a price.

The only thing they are concerned about is low cost. You are the lower cost alternative.

DHL shutdown Astar when they got too big for their britches. Why do you think DHL diversifies it's lift with lower cost carriers than ABX?

Amazon uses Uber for deliveries, you really think they are all concerned with service? Amazon has the $$$ to buy and start it's own airline but doesn't want to because it knows that it's cheaper to contract it out and the the competition to get a piece of the Amazon action will be fierce and therefore, driving down Amazon's cost.

DHL and Amazon will get good service from the contractors because the contractors know that if they don't perform they will be replaced. Same goes for the majority of the contractor pilots. They know not to bite the hands that feed them (DHL and Amazon).

You are sadly out of touch. Pilots at all the DHL carriers are ready to strike and start over if need be to raise the bar. The industry has changed. I'm glad you will work for less, but the large majority of your coworkers won't. I'm not a low cost pilot and either are my hard working brothers/sisters at Kalitta, ABX, or Southern. I'll walk with them, they'll walk with me. You can walk solo on this one.

Talk is cheap. Those that can leave have already left. Those that remain are not legacy material and are not willing to put their paycheck at risk by aggravating the hands the feed them.

Atlas intentionally hires new guys who are not eligible to be hired at a major.

The majority of the contractor pilots (IBT 1224) 99+% have spoken. They are obviously NOT worried about the hand. They are hungry.

Remember his words next time it gets close to push time. Hey, did that light bulb just burn out?

This guy is unreal. Apparently he works for DHL and either his job or his hobby is to come on a pilot website, pretend he's a pilot, all the while degrading us by saying if were real pilots we would would be worth more and that if we don't behave DHL will ramp some start up quickly.

In this business quickly means several years, and in this hiring environment even the established companies cannot ramp up. I'm not sure I'd want my packages shipped by DHL this holiday season.

Don't even bother saying "talk is cheap". Just go away
