There aren't any low cost pilots available now in any meaningful numbers...and the Pilot Shortage situation is only going to get worse for HR and the schedulers trying to crew cockpits.

DHL shutdown Astar because Astar's entire fleet consisted of unreliable, outdated gas-guzzling, three-man aircraft. NOT because we "got too big for our britches". After our latest contract, ABX still had a higher pay scale than Astar.

Not really a good comparison as its lots easier to find say new electrical contractor than a new airline . FYI I have a good golfing buddy who is a very large GC and that's is exactly what he does . Don't execute your contract he replaces you.

That doesn't work well on government or corporate jobs that need lic. electricians , plumbers ,riggers and the like.
