I wasn't able to attend the MEC meeting and was wondering if the topics that were covered answered any questions. B-fund, Age 60 impact, etc, etc...

Before this gets flamed, I'm not asking for someone to disclose anything that should stay in-house as I can wait for the mec/lec e-mail, but I'm sure even if it should have stayed in-house, it will be posted on some forum soon enough.

Are you talking about the MEC minutes for the January 23 to 26 meeting? They are posted on the FDX ALPA's MEC website on the right column, Stay Informed. Otherwise, a 19 Feb meetings minutes wouldn't be published that quickly.

As a reminder, transportation is being provided by Premier Limousine from the AOC to the Germantown Center for the Joint LEC meeting. Transportation from the AOC will begin at 9:30 a.m. and will run continuously throughout the meeting in 30 minute increments. Below is the list of agenda items for the meeting.

Meeting was a how-goes-it. Love fest over how contract implementation is going. Not so love fest over age 60. Bottom line, Dave wants to participate in whatever way possible with the evolution of age 60 to 65 rather than draw a line in the sand and sit on the sidelines and pout. Feeling of the MEC is it could be a done deal, but not yet. They feel once the final language of the NPRM is printed the ATA and companies will then start lobbying for their interests. Tne camels nose got under the tent when FAA allowed international pilots over 65 to fly in here. Argument to congress was "you're gonna let ferineers fly in here over 60, but not us?" Hard to beat that logic.

Most questions were over age 60. Presentation on the passover pay issue that was arbitrated? or agreed to; settled for chump change. Arbitration had to have cost more than the settlement. Had to do it anyway.

777 pay is not being negotiated yet. Theory is to package it with some other issues that the company needs to open up. Plus, waiting to see if it will really happen.

Good points: Big turnout. Great to see. Food!
