No need to bet, public knowledge, the land is a 50 year lease.

No money ever changed hands, contract was negotiated and never finalized or signed.

The media has done thier share to blow some of this way out of context.

Thats why nothing has happened at the airport. Its not because of a burial ground or a woolly mammoth or ufo crash site.

Amazon wont buy anyone. They arent that stupid. Thet hate unions. But, for the sake of argument lets assume they do, Amazon isnt a good employer. Cheap with their non-tech help. Pilots from every corner of america would be tripping ovwr themselves to apply to work for them which will kill any chance of a decent contract for years. Incidently, they are going to run those aircraft with some crap butt schedules. Multiple legs, max productivity.

The worst parts about working at Amazon according to employees - Business Insider

They are keeping the crap butt DHL model. Outside chance of starting their own certificate with fresh pilot groups.

Dont rely on the amazon dream...its a nightmare. But then again, its fun to talk about

FED's won't allow Amazon to run the DHL model. DHL get's away with it because they are a foreign owned company. Amazon will be forced to operate under 1 certificate just like UPS was forced into back in the 80's.

So enlighten us on how the "feds" can prevent a company from running "the DHL model"?

And please explain how the "feds" forced UPS to use one certificate? Please cite a credible reference.

Search the UPS forum and read all about it. If you want the legal version, read the FAR's. Welcome to the regulated supplemental 121 world!

Lots of myths on the subject, but no one can provide any reliable evidence to back up the myths.

As far as the regulations, please cite the regulations which would prevent Amazon from contracting out their lift if that's what they wanted to do?

Supplemental 121 has always been regulated, just as Domestic and Flag operations are as well. Not sure what you are trying to imply with that.

It's real simple. First of all, history is not a myth. Second, read all about operational control and certification in the FAR's. That's why UPS Airlines came into existence in 1989. This is not new news! If you want a legal brief on the topic please call the FAA or UPS Corporate in Atlanta. Meanwhile, try to enjoy Thanksgiving.
