Did OAI release a great deal of their financials to the union during negations?

I agree, we are in a great position to negotiate a great contract. Substantiating that minor fact of profits is a lot tougher. Omni is a private company. The only financial records we have for negotiating are what they make public to the DOD to show financial stability while competing for contracts. The published profits are well over a million a week. The two 757's and one of the 767's are leased, everything else is owned. I'm not a financial guru by any stretch of the imagination, but I'm not a complete moron either, but it appears to me that they are sitting in a pretty position. The bottom line is Omni makes above average profits because we work hard. Now is the time for our pilot group to develop a backbone and discontinue bringing down the rest of the industry. If this TA passes then other pilot groups will have to justify their pay scales and work rules at the negotiating table with comparison to Omni's.

I know while "online" you have to check your schedule everyday by 8am TUL time. However, do you have to while waiting for IOE? They have put a trip on my schedule that I can "see" without out accepting it. Should I wait for them to call or do I have to accept the trip on AIMS?

Are you on Reserve?

Gear shift...sorry to interrupt.

There is some interesting discussion about the TA on this site:

Home Page | Say No To sTAnSay No To sTAn | Omni Tenative Agreement Discussions

Not endorsing or disputing anything written there.

no where is it written that you have to check your schedule by 8am TUL time when "online" -- just check it sometime -- you should accept the trip if you want to start your OE if not they might just move on to the next in line

Atlas has their new payrates.

Airline Pilot Central - Atlas | Cargo

Are Omni's proposed rates above or below Atlas's?
