Interesting...there's a couple of us in the pool, and one on line for over a year, and another that left for VA. But last I heard, a couple former Comair CP-types were in the most recent class in what, October? Guess flying the office wasn't much help?? Hope they get through, though!

Comair had a pretty good training department. Ground School was quite comprehensive and thorough. Does Omni have some of the training done CBT self-study style? That may be where people trip up. Several OH'ers have made successful transitions to the heavies over at Atlas, Kalitta, Southern, etc...

I helped one get hired at Omni. Might even be the one who has been there over a year. I don't know if it is the same person. Hope the best for all. Just stating what was told to me. It was in regards to the office type.

Don't worry about where you come from to determine your success in training. Your background has no bearing on passing ground school. Ground school is a CBT slideshow that you show up to learn for eight hours a day. You will probably get independent access to access the CBT course outside of class hours right off the bat. To succeed plan on a lot of both self and group study sessions. That is the key to success!! If you have poor study habits, then don't show up to class. You will fail and will have a failure on your record. You will have wasted your time with nothing to show for it as well. Supply is immense and demand is low, and Omni is very aware of that. Like I have said in previous post, be very careful on pulling the trigger committing to Omni.

I heard four additional 777's. Three to fly and one for parts.

We were flying Brits for a while. Not to Fla, though.

The Philippine contract was 737's. There were a bunch parked at TUL.

Be careful for what you wish. We were at the West County last week..
