They have had 2 ground schools lately with new hires, traditionally small classes with about 4-6 per class. Work seems steady with no prediction on growing or shrinking. We recently lost a -700 that was scheduled to leave and go back to its original owner out in Oakland. That hasn't affected our staffing too much so there might be additional hiring here sometime in the future. You just never know in the charter business how busy or slow things will get, but as of now things seem steady as ever so hopefully that means good things here.

that would be very competitive, living in south Florida is a huge plus as well and gives you a fantastic QOL here.

What about 5000tt 3500jet with no PIC living in South Florida... any chance or a waste of an email?

The staffing and fleet numbers are very stagnant resulting in long times in the right seat.

While the pay sucks for the first few years, you may be better off at a regional. Compare pay and upgrade schedules at regionals vs Miami Air.

And see how both fit in with your career and quality of life goals.

there are plenty of FO's that got hired without any turbine PIC time... and you would be competitive for a job at Miami Air, but it is possible to spend about 5 years in the right seat here. I had 121 PIC time when I came here and i recommend it to everyone who applies as well. There are alot of senior guys who have 65 creeping up on them (about 15) which when you only have about 90 pilots is a decent amount of movement, but there is also no growth at the moment.

take everything in this industry with a grain of salt, things change by the minute in aviation. It is a great adventure if you decide to pursue it.
