Agreed. A name I didn't need to see or hear again in my lifetime. He crossed on the first day at DCA. His son was also an EAL pilot...married to the daughter of an EAL Captain. He talked his son into crossing, saying he'd make Captain in a year.

Hey buddy, seems you're new on 36th street...Tom Van Halm is one of the worst backstabbing, mediocre, unethical POS of the business...Van Halm= Corruption...Hasn't he given you the speech about peoples "Dark Side" ? He's just testing the waters to see what you're reaction's gonna be...If you're not on his side, you're on the "Dark Side" ! Hasn't he told how ridiculous it is to read the whole 74 items of the before start check list on the Md80 ? Hasn't he taught you how to pencil-whip your log book ? Hasn't he encouraged you to overload and take ALL the 250 heavy bags to Cuba plus 156 pax plus round trip fuel back to MIA ? And if you don't for sure you'll get some remedial training, by Alan Jorsey, of course...Buddy open your eyes, watch your back, get a real job or stop kissing so much a**, specially Van Hell's a**, not worth it...Many, many have been there, done that...He's not what he seems to be, look at the people he's surrounded of, Alan Jorsey, David Thies, Ramon Sanchez, John Rupert, all either Scabs and or third world bus drivers...No pilots there, just very dangerous wannabe's...it started already...one of Sanchez's pupils just got an FAA warning for entering an active runway at MIA, all for trying to emulate van Halm and his stupid and constant "rush"...Thies already already open a 3ft wide hole on a Md80 because he decided to start engines without telling any one on the ground And without reading the before start cl, where it ckearly states "Parking Brake Set !" and crashed the airplane against the GPU...and all goes back to Van Halm, Sanchez and Jorsey...if I were you I would not post any more stupid a** kissing ****** before they figure out who you are and set you up for one of those dreaded Death Sim's with Jorsey or Van Hell ! Someone mention Patricia Mejia the pain in the butt F/A ?...hasn't he been dating her for years and years...since both were in Falcon...yeah that's no secret...
Buddy get out while you can, they just lost the guy in charge of the Cuba contracts, so no more Cuba for WAA, they just want to fly ice, and everybody else is wanting to pull out of ICE contracts....so if all you want to be is a less than mediocre pilot, flying POS md80's, with one of the worst managements in town, keep kissing some Dutch Behind !....You forgot to mention that WAA just stopped paying perdiem and day off pay !!!
