What is load pay or load/unload pay??? Is it that they have the flight crew load and unload the airplane with cargo, as in, lifting and moving and tying cargo down???
You bet!

Does the airline furlough much if so how long do the furloughs usally last??
Not lately on the 727, not sure on the lear
Can one expect a furlough after the christmass rush if you are a new guy?
As above
And lastly, if furloughed would you be offered a job flying one of the lears on the charters one side??
Nope!
Also how much overtime can you get amonth?? I know it depends on seniority but is there OT to be had by new guys??
none.... they buy days off but you will never break garuntee
Apologies for my ignorance.

You got it nailed. I worked for Charters for almost 10 years. There is no flow through, either way between the companies.

You still at the Jet Natca?

I applied last week, 1830ish TT, half of that 121 time. How long does it take to hear from them? I'd really like to at least interview there.

Thumbs up Sounds great

I am interested in keeping this thread alive as it appears they will be hiring soon. So, may I ask some questions and if the Kalitta guys can't answer, I understand.

1) Any idea next class dates on both 727 and DC9? They were advertising for both.
2) Where is training held? For both ground school and sim?
3) Uniforms for 121 guys? Can it be safe to assume no hats? Jumpseating!
4) What are the bennies like ie; med, den, vision, 401K? Direct deposit?
5) Cass on ALL carriers or are some not taking you ie; recip agreements? Whos the best?
6) How does scheduling work? Do you bid for trips/requests or days off?
7) Ticket home or YIP or you can just jumpseat home?
8) Do the DC9 guys get the same deal as the 727 as it says yes and no on the internet? Hotels at YIP etc...
9) Hotels on the road, good/bad?
10) Any more aircraft or different fleet coming?
11) How long currently to Captain? Are guys leaving/retiring?

Sorry for the long list but trying to get as educated as I can. It almost sounds like the 121 side is really a good gig. Almost to good to be true.

Thanks. You can pm as well I promise not to divulge any information.

Default Applied got a response

I received the EEO form about a week after applying. Which usually means nothing but an automatic response. Anyone actually hear anything?
