So, I guess those guys that we have at Atlas that turned down recalls from several now-called Legacy airlines are in the same group by your calculation?

Bottom line is that if you meet the requirements, Atlas is going to interview and hire what they perceive to be the best candidates...period.

Please don't make this an issue as it is out of our hands...

Can we please move on from this line of discussion? It doesn't serve any purpose...

He cashed out of Delta at 56 and also owns a taxi cab company in Boston (15+ cabs). He is doing fine in his pajamas without flying.

Or maybe you think everyone that has been in the business has socked back a couple mil. If you think that you better look at the trend of the industry over the last 2 decades.

Good for him. Is he willing to do the MSP-TOL-CVG-TOL-MSP run on the back side of the clock? Are you?

Qualifications may get you the interview, but it won't get you the job. I met cargo/mil/airline guys in my interview group who were, on paper, light-years more qualified than I was, but didn't get an offer.

IMO, attitude is far more important. Be careful you don't come across as bitter, especially over things you'll never control.

Are interviews currently being conducted or are they still drawing from the pool?

Talked to them at a job fair back in 2010, but finally met their requirements a few months ago (finally got the ATP). Have 6k total, but no TPIC so I know I'm not the most competitive.

I can't for the life of me figure out why people are even STILL posting/asking questions here when they've been directed to the uber thread elsewhere.

Put it in a couple weeks ago. Glad to hear they take from all backgrounds.

Remember the guys in high school and college that never read the assigned book, and instead (in may day, at least) read the Cliff's Notes version...

Some of these questions have been discussed before...and in case someone on this thread has been on the moon lately...here is the location.

Sorry about the sarcasm...but OMG!!

OK, that was funny. But I am short on good, solid sacrastic company lately. My 8 and 10-year olds just don't really get it.

Cheers,

Timmy
