Can I still come here and say “eff SkyWest”? I mean.....that’s a sentiment that transcends ALL forums.

You know perfectly well that I was not talking about mainline UA.

oh I knew what you meant. And I also know that you share my disdain for that particular entity.

I’m sure DL/AA/AS/WN would love to pick up those gates/routes and put them under their banners.
You think WN is going to care about Kearney, NE or Salina, KS? You think anyone else like DL or AA will feed WN in DEN for those phat EAS bucks? You think AS will renegotiate EAS to operate from Hays, KS to SEA?

Frankly I’m shocked EAS is paying concern in a PC-12, vice a CRJ, but the numbers I’ve heard is 9 pax for a one hour stage for break even.

Ultimately, EAS is a case of making hay when the Sun shines. At some point, that subsidy will end.

the showcasing of EAS is always very cute to follow on here - in particular since most people don’t understand how EAS actually works.

yes, SKYW gets the EAS contract but they still want / need a marketing partner. All EAS business is sold under a AA / DL / UA flight number.

and guess what - the EAS economics only make sense if SKYW collects a “connection fee”. Mainline could shut that off any time - in particular if they don’t like 50 seaters for whatever reason.

I doubt that will happen any time soon.

please also note that there is no two class EAS service.
