New Den Base Chief
So the word on the street is that we have a new female base chief pilot in Den, E.S. And before anyone thinks this has anything to do with the fact that she’s a woman, our old assistant chief K.C. Was the absolute best! Amazing to work for, a pilot’s chief pilot. She was able to take her recall and go back to AA and leave this sh!t hole. Now, we have someone that has been on property less than 3 1/2 years. Just got an upgrade bid in Mco, but takes this job to avoid a commute. She might be a “nice person,” but probably age wise, didn’t have her ATP while we were trying to save this place during bankruptcy. And before you say, no one else applied, I know for a fact that someone on property for 20 years, with over 15 years in the training department applied and was turned down to put in this woman with zero experience compared to him. I’m curious how the more jr guys and gals view this? Wouldn’t you want your leadership to have some experience? Could you even imagine something like this happening at any other airline. This is just another glaring example of how messed up this place is and why no one should apply and come here. WTF. (Welcome to Frontier).

Yeah I was pulling for the one with experience to get it. I’m pretty junior. I don’t know the person who got it, but I thought KW was a shoe in. Time will tell I guess.

I was commuting on SWA a while back and told them how most of our base CP’s are FO’s. Capt told me at SWA you need to be a check airman for 5 years just Apply for the position.

Its a shame KW did not get it.
He would have been great! A true advocate for the pilot group, and would not be afraid to tell management to pound sand when in the wrong.
I’m sure they knew that and thus why he was bypassed.
ES will be a “team player”
All this after she claimed she did not apply for the position and was not interested.
