I'm the most upbeat guy in the world but even I can’t shake the impact of the last MEC email. I seriously hope I’m wrong but now that everyone is getting WARN letters I think it’s reasonable to suggest that along with XJT we are done October 1 or a short period thereafter.

Not that it will matter given the state of things in this industry and elsewhere but I suggest everyone tidy up their resumes because we’re all going to need to look for work very soon.

Nobody knows. Cares act could get extended. But safe bet for legal compliance by the company is to send the letters.

Nobody has furloughed active pilots - save the two that closed up shop.

No one has gotten one yet. The union said they wanted to send one to everyone, but that is still being discussed.

Well if you all do get one that’s probably the end of the 145. That won’t be a good sign if both remaining 145 UAX operators Send WARN notices to everyone.

WARN letters are paperwork. Doesn’t mean you are closing. Doesn’t mean furloughs. It’s like a weather forecast. It looks like rain. Doesn’t mean it will. Hang in there.

WARN notice is the umbrella you take out when Al Roker says 5% chance of rain.

C5 management isn't saying anything because they don't know anything. If the October schedule looks like the August schedule they can furlough 60+% of the pilots and still cover it.
By next April the UAX block hours will be impacted by the scope look back period. How any of this resolves itself remains unclear.
From my perspective United will have the least competitive fleet mix of the network carriers next summer without a major change to the status quo.
