they will always have something in the back pocket. The first contract proposal should always be a no. Management knows it and anticipates it. They are holding something back to sweeten the deal as necessary.

What could be in the back pocket to sweeten the deal? Higher pay rates or a fringe benefit? And if it gets voted No how long will it take to get the next TA ? Speaking of which how long did it take to get to this proposed TA?

Exactly, but there are very few there that understand that. They've seen the increased pay rates and think that's all there is to a contract. I have a friend over there who says they are trying to fast track the voting and ram this thing through quickly for some reason. Voting starts this week and nobody has even seen the contract. The only thing the pilot group has seen so far is a poorly drafted highlight email that looks like it was written a 5th grader. Apparently, they plan on doing road show presentations "concurrently" with voting.

Can’t blame the people who want to get their time and get out. Why fight for the lifers and lose out on extra pay in the interim? Take the mediocre gains and get out. Might be different if the Majors weren’t hiring at max capacity.
