well 6 -12 months would be if your seniority is low and everyone wants jets. First its 7-8 jet captain then any extras are dash. However if there are too few dash upgrades theyll cancel class. Since they are removing dashes in next year they arent too keen in upgrading dash. Priority is jet. I was wanting dash upgrade but took jet upgrade since i would have to wait maybe a month or two or three to get dash upgrade in newark. And rumors of a jet base in ewr for first quarter from the chief pilot helped me consider since i live in ewr and all ewr pilots are passing upgrade because they dont want to commute.

Has anyone heard of any D8 CA awards for Sepember?
I'm just wondering if it got cx too.

All new captains are going to IAD, then? No chance of EWR?
Schedules all 4/3? Or are they running 4/2 like Piedmont?

When C5 brings all the jets online and phases out the 8s, what do you think will be the total pilot staffing? What is the plane to crew ratio (1 plane for 2.5 crews?). Thanks!

Same as every other airline, about a 10:1 ratio. With the early retirements of the Dash, they are pushing for the additional options of airplanes. If that happens it should be a pilot group of 600.
