I mean I commut now but the whole 8 days on at a time sucks. Tired of being responsible for coffee, ice, hot water, loading bags in the 90 degree heat with no APU. Can't wait to hop on that 145 shut the door and just fly.

Hey guys
Also about to apply. Looking for the contract. Anyone want to split the referal?
Also, do the CAs ever fly right seat? It seems that interview prep company would not be needed until you pass the hogan test? I would study for the initial C5 interview.

Captains do fly right seat. I believe they train you to be dual dual qualified to be either cqfo or just junior man you. And yes interview prep after hogan to save money in case the hogan isnt successful. The shepperd air prep is good for C5 written exam and interview is fairly easy.

Captain qualified First officers can fly in either seat. Per the contact the company can make you be a CQFO if you are in the bottom 5% of the captain senority list for that aircraft. However you are still compensated as a captain (regardless of what seat you sit in) so long as you bid a captain reserve line. If you are a CQFO you can choose to bid a fo line, however you will only be compensated as a fo unless the company uses you in the left seat. You can also request to be a CQFO regardless if you are above the bottom 5%. If awarded, it is a 12 month commitment.
