They are trying to figure out if they are going to down grade some of the DHC captains or not. I just taking a guess on it. But they will not give a solid answer on it as of now.

Bad guess. Captain status is protected in the event of aircraft type displacement.

I’ve not heard that before. Can you tell me where in the CBA?

I was hearing that too, thats why they trying to come up with voluntary global bid b4 doing displacement. If they do displacement then captain is protected as u say. I havent looked that up in the CBA though but I got it from a reliable alpa source

please point out in the CBA where CA status is protected (unless it's in a secret LOA).

Should be section 24 of the contract, but I don't specifically see it.

There should be a ton in the contract that I don't see. Our contract boils down to 'if it's legal, we can do it. If you don't want to do it, we pay you 150% to do it.'

Does anyone know why you have to have 1000 PIC 90 days prior to a United class date in order to move in the CPP?

In order to retain the maximum amount of discounted labor from qualified, ATP-rated pilots for as long as possible. Remember that even though the CPP might be great for a select few, it is not designed or intended to support pilots as a whole.
