That being said, I do believe the planes will come back to Envoy when the contract is up. It is unfortunate timing for those at Compass. Who owns the planes flown for Delta? Does Delta own them or Compass? If they belong to Compass, are they owned outright or leased? You have to know where the value of the company is to see what the options are. There is no real excess capacity in the regional industry now so there is still a demand for the Compass planes and pilots. Hopefully for your sakes they will stay together.

My understanding is that Compass doesn't really own anything and are more of a pilot management company. I could be wrong but I would venture to say those Delta planes belong to Delta.

Yeah, we know that.

OK, well someone didn't because they were asking the question that I answered. Try reading what I was posting about first.

Or maybe we don't need all these non CP pilots posting rumors, false information, and obvious information on our threads.

Bingo! NDAs all day. Your AA CP would not only be out of a job but subject to much more than that in the form of career action from AAG and legal action brought by the state in which they work or reside.

I get you are upset and all, but did you read anything I wrote? Did I write anything that wasn't factual? Did I slander your pilot group in any way? Did I somehow insult you?

Chief pilots find out news minutes before the line pilots do. Not months before.

I’ve more or less retired from posting on this website as I find it toxic and filled with hate but I’ll come out of retirement to post here.

I sincerely wish all of you at Compass the best and the smoothest transition if needed on your journeys forward. I have commuted almost exclusively on you folks for a year and can say you’re an outstanding group of people. All the best and good luck.

This is very similar to what went on in the 1990s, with Delta buying acquiring Commair and ASA, AA and American Eagle and the others. The down fall of all these will be your flow into the majors, if it was slow before, it will be slower now. This that gave the time should try to get in through the outside. The faster you get to where you want to be, the better off you will be when the slow down comes. I would also look on going overseas, 5 years overseas, you'll be making legacy money, and now you have the experience.

Good luck to all.

Nobody is totally surprised at the announcement, but sweet baby Jesus, give it some damn time. Save your sound advice for another day and let it mellow out a bit. I know you’re all giddy because you’re getting some more airplanes...we all get it, but S T F U for a bit. Go brush up on the benefits of a real union and spend some valuable time in that.

What sMFer said. Completely agreed. I was debating what to post on this topic and he/she summed it up well.

When your regional is growing at the expense of another, you need to be thinking 'There but for the grace of God go I', not to be thrilled at the growth that you are getting. At some time in the future, the situation can and will happen in reverse, regardless of how you perceive things at the time you're getting the growth.

Best of luck to all of you at CPZ. Truly enjoyed my time working with you and wish everyone the best. We kept it classy.
