All great stuff. I agree, I miss driving to work, flying day trips with great captains and double waving at fellow CPZ members and yes, even occasionally mainline. (Just for you Melit)
Hope all is well with my CPZ homies.

A certain Compass pilot had a nice pen that they kept in their uniform blazer, which was hanging in the crew room. One day, said pilot went to his jacket and discovered his prized pen was missing. Even though the pilot knew the crew room was accessible to more than just pilots, he proceeded to send out an email to the entire pilot group saying that he was upset his pen had been stolen, and that while he wasn't mad, he was disappointed. He would calm down if whoever the offender was would simply place it in his V file in the same crew room the pen was taken from.
Numerous pilots took compassion on this poor soul knowing that his lack of a pen would result in a spike in ASAPs, and so to ensure the company was not overwhelmed, several fellow pilots decided to collect every hotel pen from their layover hotels and place them in this wronged pilot's V file. This was so successful that the pen-less pilot's V file became completely stuffed to the gills with pens from all across the system of hotels Compass pilots stay at. Our poor hero then sent a follow-up email that explained that he was upset that he had gotten so many pens in his V file that it was bursting at the seams and none of them were the pen he wanted and for said acts of compassion to stop because he had a fever, and the only prescription was the pen he had loved first and lost.
At least that's how I remember the tale.

I couldn't remember if the V file incident was BU (Before Ugh) or AU (After Ugh). My gut says it was AU. Alas, my memory of the exact timeline of events during my early days at Compass grow hazy with time.
