Compass Update

Cool thanks. I coughed up the money and bought a ticket. Who would've thought I'd have to buy a ticket after all this? Crazy. They getting caught up with IOE scheduling yet? Our class is still waiting...

Like a ticket, ticket? Or a ZED pass? They're pretty cheap but with flights so full I'd be tempted to buy positive space if I couldn't use the jumpseat....

American is only gonna let you on if you have a ZED (ie nonrev pass). To ride as a jumpseater - in the jumpseat OR cabin - there needs to be a reciprocal agreement in place. We have rather few of those at this point, mostly with regional carriers...I had to use Air Canada to get back from Frankfurt this week because we don't have recips with UA, US, DL, or CO.

Was that a ZED fare on Air Canada or did you just have to pay taxes? Anybody know if CPS pilots will get passes to use on NWA for friends/family - and if there's a waiting period for that benefit? If there's going to be a long wait between sim and IOE it would be nice to check out the NWA system.
There is no buddy pass program in place. They do have a Y7 family plan for extended family members but it's ridiculously expensive (ie $160 MSP-IAD oneway) and it's still standby so you're best off having them buy a positive space cheap ticket on travelocity or something.
You, your spouse, and your kids fly coach for free. Your parents pay a service charge. Everybody pays for 1st, and int'l departure taxes are automatically deducted from your paycheck.
Here's something funny that's going to **** off people to no end: Compass has higher priority than Mesaba or Pinnacle on all NWA system flights (including 9E and XJ).
