I pushed it off until Wednesday so I could do a sim prep a day before in DFW. They didn't care one bit (I got the job). So to answer your question: be ready to move quickly if you decide to do the panel interview anywhere other than IAH. Good luck!

Don't make me spell it out for you... Unless you really just want to believe in coincidences and that I have a far happier more accomplished twin out there.

Well,
I guess you could just say your off. No 2 hour call out. As I have stated several times before...I started in June and have yet to be awarded a line of anything...RSV or flying. I just sit at home (which is not in MN by the way) and check my email and voicemails one a day or so. I had 20 days off in September and 23 days off in October. That is nice.

WHAT IS BS!!!!!!!!!!!!! is the fact that I have been on the payroll for 4 FREAKIN' months and have yet to see 1 dime of CA pay!!!!!!! I was told at the union meeting that things would be sorted out on the make up check....Which one because I just received the make up check for Sept. and there wasn't ANYTHING ON IT BUT F.O. Pay!!!!!!!!!! GRRRRR I want to smash something!!! I need some sleep. I hope we come up with a solution to this before I have to file chapter 13.

Not to stir the pot, but on the last check I got captain pay for all the time I flew in the left seat last month. The paystub didn't specifically say that I was paid CA pay for X amount of time, but when I pulled out a calculator and worked the numbers, I was exactly the amount I should have been paid for the left seat flying I did, plus the remainder of the gaurantee at FO pay. 37.5X23.18=869.25. If the regular earnings number on your pay stub is any more than that, you must have gotten CA pay for something, if the number IS that, you should probably call payroll, they owe you that CA pay

What's up with issuing that int'l exam to all of us without addressing any type of training pay credit? The newbies in class get paid to be there, so of course they're covered. What about the rest of us rotting at home after training? SHOW ME THE MONEY!!! I'm not turning it in until I get some answers.

Not to thread hijack, but gotta question for you guys. I interviewed last week, and have not heard any thing from the company, but yesterday I got a call from the backround check people telling me they had a question regarding a place I worked at. Do they run backrounds on everyone that interviews? I thought you knew if you were hired the Monday after you interviewed?

They're probably just swamped with applicants right now. Nah just kidding. I'm sure you got hired, so congrats. Yes, they do outsource the background checks which are surprisingly thorough. I think it must be an NWA thing. I had the same thing happen to me earlier this summer where I received a call from the background people before I received the official letter/e-mail. I don't recall ever receiving a congrats phone call. Don't sweat it.
