I have been on reserve since mid July. There has been very little movement. It sounds like Delta is not going to take any flows in 2012, which means not much chance of a guy hired today getting off of reserve in less than a year. If Delta changes their plans and takes a couple classes of flow in the next year, that will change things. We have had a few leave for other jobs, but not many.

To second what conquest said and expound on it a bit, right now in DTW there are as many reserves as lineholders; in other words, you have to bid 50% in DTW to hold a line. Most newhires are able to hold MSP reserve right out of training or within a month or so; with no attrition and little hiring of course you could end up getting stuck in DTW for longer. You will be able to bid to MSP as a lineholder long before you'll get off reserve in DTW, unless something drastically changes. There's also rumors of a SLC base, what with all the SLC flying we're starting in January. Management says no base for now but could change depending on what DAL does with us.

This month 28 full lines in DTW and 2 partials for 50 FO's
Next month is projecting 34 lines for 50 FO's.
November 2010 is the bottom lineholder and has been since May.

I'm doing the home study right now. I start Indoc the 2nd week of January, don't know about the bidding yet, and still looking for a crashpad. I'll let you know if I find one. Did you get hired?

You will put your base preferences on your orientation day. Then you will have to wait for a vacancy bid to come out to find out your base.
As for your actual days of work it will depend. They base it on when you are going to complete IOE. So if you will not finish until the end of April, then you will start bidding in May.

Any truth to what was said on another post... No Transstates pilots hired here since the TSH purchase?
